This fashion assassin strikes multiple times this time of year and its work is everywhere: in Christmas-card photo shoots, at retirement-home gifting gatherings and on dutiful nieces and nephews, donning their “thoughtful” gifts from out-of-touch aunts crazy about crochet.

Fortunately, the Silverton knows that nothing really says happy holidays quite like a bedazzled Frosty the Snowman knitted into a bright-pink pullover. And so, on December 18, the casino-lodge presents its Hideous Holiday Sweater Party. There you can partake in an ugly sweater competition and an egg nog chugging contest. A night full of funny festivities is planned, as drink specials, beer pong and live-band karaoke complete the unsightly sweater celebration.
