Lost Boy’ Corey Feldman is back!

Image
Corey Feldman, left, is set to host the Lost Boys Ball.

You have to give Corey Feldman credit for stick-to-itiveness. The actor looked like a washed-up relic of the ’80s only a few years ago, but thanks to a positive attitude, reality TV and the nostalgia of a generation that grew up watching him in movies like The Goonies and Stand by Me, Feldman has had a career renaissance of sorts, even if it is mainly in straight-to-video sequels and kitschy cable-TV shows. His 1987 vampire movie The Lost Boys has become something of a cult classic, and in 2008 it spawned a direct-to-DVD sequel, The Tribe. Now Feldman is set to appear in the third Lost Boys movie, The Thirst, and the House of Blues is featuring a whole Feldman-centric event to celebrate.

Lost Boys Ball
Oct. 23, 5:30 p.m., $20-$100
House of Blues
632-7600

The Lost Boys Ball will feature a screening of the original Lost Boys film, directed by Joel Schumacher and co-starring Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric and Feldman’s late buddy Corey Haim. Feldman will do a Q&A about the movie and perform with his hilariously named band Truth Movement, plus show a trailer for The Thirst, which was released on DVD last week. Not bad for a guy who used to go around in public dressed as Michael Jackson.
