GO

Halloween parade: Get your funk on. Creep out, doll up, pimp it, primp it, skimp it, build it, wear it or scare it. Be somebody—or something. March through Downtown in the first Las Vegas Halloween Parade. Or suck it! October 31, 7 p.m., Hoover & Fourth St., thelasvegashalloweenparade.com.

Musical mayhem No matter how you’re dressed on Halloween, there’s bound to be a band in town for you on October 31. Among the broad range of choices: Bring Me the Horizon: headlining the metallic AP Tour at House of Blues; soul-rockers The Heavy at Hard Rock Cafe; Japanese punks Peelander-Z at Double Down; or, our personal pick, deathgrinders Cattle Decapitation at the Box Office. Who’s scared now? Various times and prices.

Day of the Dead Celebrate “Life in Death”: with traditional Mexican music, food, art, crafts, poetry, dance and elaborate altars created in memory of those who’ve passed on. November 1 & 2, 5-9 p.m., free, Winchester Cultural Center.

Fall Fun Fest: Arts, crafts and ... flu shots? CSN’s three-day fest packs in carnival rides, food and concerts from The Vandals and Big B. That shot will keep you rocking all fall. October 29-31, $15 in advance, $20, 6375 W. Charleston Ave.

SEE

Dead Set Originally aired in Britain, this miniseries about a zombie apocalypse as seen from the perspective of Big Brother contestants is an entertaining mix of media satire and horror, with plenty of gore for zombie fans. All five episodes air October 31, 7:30 p.m., IFC.

HEAR

Plastikman Arkives 1993-2010 Before fans of Canadian techno master Richie Hawtin plot a mission to swipe our copy of this massive set (six albums + five rarities discs + live DVD), know that we have only two CDs. Which means we, like you, will buy the full version as soon as it’s out. Pre-order at plastikman.com/arkives.

EAT

Claw struck Florida stone crab is in season and finding its way to Vegas tabletops. The distinctive, oversized claws are harvested from live crabs and flown in from the Gulf Coast from mid-October to mid-May. Two local eateries, the Flame steakhouse at El Cortez and Joe’s in the Forum Shops, take special pride in getting you stoned.
