Divorce is a fact of life, nowhere more so than Nevada, with its 14.2 percent divorce rate. So why not hedge your bets? Logan says he’s only sold a handful of plans so far and none in Nevada—yet. Oh, and in case you’re considering gaming the system by getting married and then divorcing to cash in, remember this: Each policy must mature 48 months to pay out. “Go ahead and try, because we’ve already made our money by then,” Logan says.
