When Insomniac Events began revealing details of its first Electric Daisy Carnival Vegas edition, the promoter stressed that the three-day EDM fest would give back to the local community with funds raised from ticket sales. On Wednesday, Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella saw that promise through, donating a total of $75,000 to three local organizations­—Clark County School-Community Partnership Program, the Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the Injured Police Officers Fund. How’s that for a party with a purpose?
