Insurgo received heaps of praise for last year’s run of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, largely thanks to Cory Benway and his portrayal of the title character. Benway returns as Hedwig for a one-night-only performance of John Cameron Mitchell’s rock musical, which follows a fictional rock ’n’ roll band fronted by an East German transgender singer.
