Jennifer Lopez at Wet Republic J.Lo recently announced her departure from the American Idol judges table, and this weekend, the recording artist/actress/all-around renaissance woman brings her world tour with Enrique Iglesias to Mandalay Bay. Before that, she’s taking a load off to soak up some sun poolside at the MGM dayclub. August 18, doors at 11 a.m., $50 men, $20 women.

Pendulum at Marquee Dayclub The drum and bass group went on hiatus recently, allowing band members Gareth McGrillen and Rob Swire to explore other sides of electronic dance music through their Knife Party DJ collective. Fans, consider yourselves warned: The band is set to play a special DJ set on Sunday, with D&B DJ 12th Planet joining them for the club’s Wet Wonderland bash. August 19, doors at 10 a.m., $10-$40.

Pauly D at Hard Rock Hotel Gym it up, get your tan on and do laundry before Sunday, because the GTL enthusiast lands at the Hard Rock Hotel’s Rehab pool party this week. Be ready to beat up the beat, too, as the Jersey Shore and Pauly D Project star supplies the soundtrack for the splashy soiree. Want more Pauly? Mr. D makes it an HRH doubleheader with a set at Vanity’s Sin on Sunday industry night party. Floatopia at Palms The kiddie pool meets adult debauchery at this Weekly-sponsored installment of the Palms’ Sunday Scene pool party. Show up with your own pool float for free entry, then lounge in style while enjoying sounds supplied by Kevin Brown and the Weekly’s own beatmeister Mike Uriarte. Mardi Gras Party at Revolution Yes, you read that correctly. Even though we’re about five months beyond the traditional Fat Tuesday celebration, the Mirage nightspot is putting on a special edition of its REVO Sunday party themed around the New Orleans festival. Las Vegas Pride hosts the LGBT event, with Tracie Savage and Miss Pride 2011 Diana Prince performing and DJ Que manning the decks. August 19, 9:30 p.m., $20, locals free until midnight.

Downtown Takeover at Insert Coin(s) The Fremont East videobar/gamelounge wants to show Magic attendees (and “in-the-know locals”) how to party proper Downtown. The event highlights local clothing and shoe company Feature, and DJs Miss Joy, 88, Rich Medina and Anthony Valadez (of LA’s KCRW) supply the soundtrack for the fashionable fête. August 20, 10 p.m., free.

Jay Sean at Hyde Maybe best known for his hits “Down” and “Do You Remember,” the British musician is set to launch his Worth It All album this year. Check out the first single (“I’m All Yours”) before experiencing his live performance at the Scrapbook Originals’ Magic afterparty. Skylar Grey (featured on Kaskade’s latest album, Fire & Ice) also performs, and E! News personality Catt Sadler hosts. August 21, doors at 10 p.m., $30.
