The Bank Nightclub (Las Vegas) vs. the Bank Club (Pioche)

Two towns, two very different nightlife scenes, one name

      History

The Bank Since its 2008 opening, the club has become a celebrity hotbed. Recent VIPs include Cristiano Ronaldo, Kanye West and Stacy Keibler.

The Bank Club First opened in the mid-1860s as a Wells Fargo outpost (hence the name), Pioche’s Main Street bank was transformed into a bar called the Alamo in 1901. It was renamed in 2004 when Vegas auto dealer Jim Marsh bought the bar.

      Atmosphere

The Bank Vegas nightclub opulence. The Bank aims to create a “luxurious yet contemporary vibe” and an “ultra-sensory experience,” which it achieves through custom lighting and a bumping soundtrack. Clubgoers can score libations at one of two bars. Want to dance? Boogie down to the centrally located, glass-encased dancefloor.

The Bank Club Budweiser oil lamps bookend the bar back, which looks like something you’d find in a Western saloon. Video poker machines top the short bar, and in an ode to the venue’s name, the original Wells Fargo vault still stands in the back of the main room—except now it keeps bottles of liquor safe instead of stacks of cash.

      Drinks

The Bank Average price for well drinks: $12. Average price for beers: $9.

The Bank Club Well drinks and beers run $2.75 each. In fact, your bar tab is probably the No. 1 reason to trek out to Pioche.

      Music

The Bank Open format. Some of EDM’s top DJs have spun at the Bank, but the venue also presents live entertainment. Singer Bruno Mars headlined the club’s NYE bash.

The Bank Club An Internet-connected jukebox provides the venue’s tunes. Manager Patricia Chromcik says Adele and country music are played most often, and adds that Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar” is a frequent selection.

      Clientele

The Bank Club Pioche has only three bars, and those limited options seem to result in a varied clientele.
