Twain is tops
Shania Twain at Caesars Palace or Tim McGraw and Faith Hill at the Venetian? The vote is split, as both shows are great. My tip of the Stetson goes to Shania. —Don Chareunsy, contributing editor

And a beer ... in a tree
Freakin’ Frog owner Adam Carmer’s reserve section blowout rocked! I was able to procure a bottle of Tactical Nuclear Penguin. Google it. Best. Holiday. Shopping. Ever. —Ken Miller, associate editor

Saved by the Cirque
Zarkana: For such an impressive show, that’s an unimpressive lobby display. Looks like Zack Morris’ Kelly Kapowski cutout. —Rick Lax, staff writer

Poor choice of words

Rush hour
My head tells me the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is silly and irrelevant, but my heart can’t help but rejoice at the news that Geddy, Alex and Neil are finally in. I’ll celebrate by listening to their five longest songs. That should keep me busy until 2013. —Spencer Patterson, managing editor
