Local architecture-inspired jewelry arrives at Trifecta

Bracelets, necklaces and rings are part of Heishman’s collection.
Artist Mary Beth Heishman has long been drawn to the Mid-mod architecture that defines early Las Vegas Valley neighborhoods, particularly its decorative and cinderblock walls, something she refers to as “three-dimensional wallpaper.”
You can hardly blame her. That exterior design element tends to melt any heart that beats for Mid-mod. Thanks to Heishman, now it’s wearable.
The painter, sculptor and elementary school art teacher created bracelets, rings and necklaces that feature some of the more common patterns seen around town. Cast in sterling silver or bronze, the pieces range from delicate charms to more robust styles.
Where to find them? Downtown, of course. Trifecta Gallery at 107 E. Charleston Blvd. (366-7001), carries the line.
