Miss Nevada USA defends title holder over controversial photo with Ron Jeremy

Even the U.K.’s Daily Mail is covering the story: “Miss Nevada beauty queen gets to keep her crown despite posting raunchy photo with porn star Ron Jeremy.” That might sound like a non-event, but beauty queens are getting de-crowned left and right for sexual behavior, so Miss Nevada USA’s defense of Jade Kelsall (“The Miss Nevada USA organization stands behind Jade Kelsall 100 percent”) is newsworthy. Everyone says the photo, now deleted from Facebook, showed Kelsall making an obscene hand gesture, but nobody is reporting on what the gesture was. Was it the finger? The shocker? The wanker? The tongued V? Regardless, it’s nice to see the Miss USA organization take a stand. We all have embarrassing pictures posted on Facebook. And 30 years from now, the president will, too.
