Foster the People at 1 Oak The indie pop trio scored a Grammy nom for insanely popular single “Pumped Up Kicks,” and chances are you’ve heard it. Rusko at XS Into dubstep? Dig free sh*t? Then before you hit the Encore club Friday night for the English producer’s set, give his 2006-2011 remix collection a listen (available as a free download on ruskoonfire.com). October 12, doors at 10 p.m., $30 men, $20 women.

One Drunk Puppy at Silverton Wine lovers, mark your calendars. More than 50 wineries will be represented Saturday at the suburban hotel for the second annual tasting benefiting Noah’s Animal House, an organization that provides temporary boarding for pets of Shade Tree Shelter clients. Attendees will also enjoy a selection of sake and beer at the boozy bash, complete with music and a silent auction. October 13, 6 p.m., $45-$50.

Vegas StrEATs at Fremont East October’s edition of the monthly food truck event is extra special, as popular retailer Johnny Cupcakes (he sells T-shirts, not pastries) takes his 2012 Coffin Tour to the Downtown fest. Between your Fremont East bar-hopping, grub on street fare (Slidin’ Thru and Haulin Balls, to name a couple), peruse the art and rage to the night’s bumpin’ beats supplied by M!KEATTACK, DJ Zo and more. October 13, 6 p.m., free entry.

Sofi at Rain The EDM vocalist was featured on two tracks off Deadmau5’s 4X4=12 album (“One Trick Pony” and “Sofi Needs a Ladder”). Watch her perform live at the Palms nightspot Saturday night. Also contributing to the evening’s soundtrack: Disco Fries. October 13, doors at 11 p.m., $25 men, $20 women.

Ginuwine at LAX The singer-turned-actor joined recording artists Tyrese and Tank to form the group TGT, and they’re said to be working on a new album. Ginuwine hits the Luxor nightclub Saturday to celebrate turning 42. October 13, doors at 10 p.m., $30 men, $20 women.

Was Never a Virgin at Drink & Drag Madonna brings her MDNA tour to the MGM Grand this weekend, and to honor the Queen of Pop, the Downtown hangout presents an evening all about Madge. Enjoy the “Madonna drag-off,” beats by J. Diesel and more at the Saturday night bash. October 13, doors at 6 p.m., free entry.

Sneaker Ball at Lavo Leave your heels and dress shoes at home! The Venetian venue allows sneakers for one night only, celebrating the birthday of CRSVR Sneaker Boutique owner and resident DJ Vice. Those rocking their fresh and fierce kicks can partake in the night’s Instagram contest—send photos to @LAVOLV with the hashtag #vicebdaykicks for a shot at $1K or a $250 CRSVR gift certificate. October 14, doors at 11 p.m., $20 men, $10 women, locals free.
