I thought my camera had seen a lot of wild things in this town, but nothing could prepare me for the lady robot mannequin with the ability to give birth to a baby robot at the Clinical Simulation Center on UNLV’s Shadow Lane campus. Nursing students and residents use the lifelike mannequins in emergency-room scenarios, and things can get pretty realistic. I didn’t observe the mannequin in a birthing scenario, but just seeing the baby in there was enough for me.
