Buffet at Bellagio now offering caviar service
Thu, Feb 14, 2013 (4:30 p.m.)
Traditional ikura and tobiko caviars are up for grabs at the Buffet at Bellagio’s new caviar station.
The newest Las Vegas buffets are as much about food quality as quantity, offsetting the cliche that all-you-can-eat equals tons of mediocre grub. But the Buffet at Bellagio is looking to set a new standard by offering one of the most lavish of luxury foods: caviar.
Every Friday and Saturday from 3:30 to 10 p.m., during the Buffet at Bellagio’s “Gourmet Dinner Service,” ikura and tobiko caviars are available alone or complemented by traditional dishes. There’s no extra charge, either—the caviar is included in the $37.99 charge. (The Gourmet Dinner Service is the only option on Fridays and Saturdays; “regular” dinner is $31.99 Sunday through Thursday.)
The buffet’s new caviar station includes a chef attendant who will serve the good stuff with house-made blinis, mini-waffles, freshly rolled sushi or ahi tuna cones, adding as much chopped egg, red onions and creme fraiche as you like. You didn’t think they were gonna let you go at unlimited caviar without an attendant, did you?
Adding to the buffet decadence is a new unlimited drink option, allowing guests limitless refills on bellinis, bloody Marys, sparkling wine or beer for an additional $8. Not sure which of those beverages goes best with caviar, but why not sample them all?
