Update: Coyote Ugly closing at New York-New York March 1

Image

Update: AMG CEO Neil Moffitt released a statement February 18 announcing the venue's March 1 closure. In the statement Moffitt says the company will work with its current staff "to ensure their employment continues within Angel Management Group's venues, effective immediately."

Earlier this week, longtime Vegas podcast Five Hundy By Midnight posted that Strip staple Coyote Ugly would be closing sometime this month.

A representative from MGM Resorts could not confirm the New York-New York saloon’s impending closure, but an employee at the bar told the Weekly that the venue would in fact be shutting its doors after years on the Strip.

Fans of the film-immortalized, Southern-styled watering hole can still catch the venue’s ladies dancing on the bartop seven nights a week—for now, and the Coyote Ugly girls will still be slinging beers and pouring shots at outposts in Russia, Germany, Florida and Texas.
