Thanks to a recent music showcase, we’re already getting a taste of what the planned Life is Beautiful Festival will bring to Downtown Las Vegas in the fall. Now organizers have announced who will help assemble the culinary portion of the two-day arts event.

The fest’s culinary advisory board will be chaired by Bruce and Eric Bromberg, the brothers behind Blue Ribbon restaurants in New York and at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. "I am extremely honored to be chairing the board and bringing together such an amazing and forward thinking group of chefs and taste makers for one massive party right in the heart of Las Vegas," said Bruce Bromberg.

Other chefs with a Vegas presence joining the board are Kim Canteenwalla (Honey Salt), Scott Conant (Scarpetta and D.O.C.G.), Hubert Keller (Fleur and Burger Bar), Michael Mina (Michael Mina, Stripsteak, American Fish) and Rick Moonen (RM Seafood). Jet Tila, formerly of Wazuzu at Encore and now at the Charleston in LA, is on the list, along with Chris Cosentino (Incanto in San Francisco), Donald Link (Herbsaint and Cochon in New Orleans) and Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto in NYC).

This group of kitchen powerhouses will be providing creative direction and programming for all the foodie happenings at the festival, which plans to attract tens of thousands of people per day for its inaugural event. The culinary area of Life is Beautiful could feature up to 80 chefs in a Moroccan-inspired bazaar of food and merchandise stalls, along with food and drink demonstrations and competitions.
