It’s not easy being a newspaper photographer at a porn convention. We can only show so much to our readers, and anyone who’s been to the Adult Entertainment Expo knows that porn is literally everywhere. Not live, of course, but television screens show intimate scenes. Gigantic photos of totally nude women and men adorn almost every naked wall. One of the best solutions we came up with a couple years ago was to shoot the porn stars’ shoes. Not only are feet safe to show in most cases, but the shoes of AEE are always an interesting and delightful parade of craziness. The shoes of AEE started with the 2011 expo, my first, and has continued every year since. I hope to keep up the tradition for many years to come.
