A dentist by the name William Morrison and the confectioner John C. Wharton invented cotton candy in 1897. They called it “fairy floss” and introduced it to the public at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis. Whether or not this fairy floss was in fact a conspiracy to keep dentists in business remains a mystery, but cotton candy has become an all-time favorite of American sweet tooths.
Now these clouds of sugary goodness are available in adult-only form at VDKA, Encore’s new vodka bar. “Our concept was to create a young, fun, flirty vibe, and uniquely flavored vodkas are on trend at this time,” says Master Mixologist Patricia Richards. The Cotton Candy Swirl ($16) fits the bill. We’ll have another (and a toothbrush).

½ oz. St-Germain
