First Friday emphasizes music

First Friday celebrates the art of music this month, and given recent events there could hardly be a better time to do so. The Life Is Beautiful Festival just released its inaugural lineup, promising Las Vegans a roster of big-name bands and world-class chefs during the two-day festival this October. Intrigued? LIB offers an early look during First Friday, where attendees can listen to some of the acts—live—and interact with LIB organizers.

The LIB performance space is one of seven stages offering live music this month, with First Friday expanding its musical offerings for the occasion. Catch local acts like Moksha (8:30 p.m., 3rd Street Stage) and American Cream (8:45 p.m., the Hub stage) while exploring Arts District galleries.

Another recent announcement also brought potentially great news for the Vegas music scene: the return of the Huntridge Theatre. The team behind Huntridge Revival, LLC will be on hand at First Friday, letting people know more about it and officially launching their IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign.

The Cosmopolitan will also join in the First Friday fun, bringing its Boulevard Pool Downtown for a pop-up complete with frozen booze courtesy of Neapolitan and a musical performance from current P3 Studio resident artist Tamar Ettun.
