HEAR

Kings of the Mic The word “legend” gets thrown around a lot in hip-hop these days, but Public Enemy, Ice Cube, LL Cool J and De La Soul? We’d say they qualify. May 24, 8:30 p.m., $46-$66, the Joint.

Matt & Kim Recent single “Let’s Go!” says it all: With an upbeat sound and infectious lyrics, the Brooklyn indie duo should have Cosmo concertgoers on their feet all night. May 30, 7 p.m., $20.

GO

Moulin Rouge panel discussion The Neon Museum presents a panel discussion between the director of UNLV’s Oral History Research Center and local filmmaker Stan Armstrong, who will debut portions of his documentary, The Misunderstood Legend of the Las Vegas Moulin Rouge. May 23, 5:30 p.m., free.

UFC 160 Heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez squares off against Antonio Silva for the second time. The first bout was a massacre; look for Silva to fight like he’s got something to prove. May 25, 3:30 p.m., $75-$800, MGM Grand.

EAT

Epicurean Affair Consider this a more affordable version of the Uncork’d Grand Tasting, another poolside noshfest featuring restaurants from all over Vegas. Daniel Boulud hosts, fueling rumors that he’ll open a restaurant at Venetian soon. May 23, 7-10 p.m., $105-$190, Palazzo.

National Hamburger Day May 28 is the burgeriest day of the year, and local spots are celebrating. The Fat Bar/Fatburger on the Strip will serve up $1 hamburgers from 4 to 5 p.m., and all Smashburger locations will give away free Class Smash burgers all day to anyone with the last name “Burger” (or reasonable variations thereof). Fatbarlasvegas.com, smashburger.com.

Sip & Savor Get a taste of the food and meet the chefs from all of Wolfgang Puck’s Las Vegas restaurants at this mini-festival set for Spago at the Forum Shops. Proceeds benefit Keep Memory Alive. May 29, 6 p.m., $120-$130.
