But wide receiver Devante Davis—a sure pick in next year’s NFL Draft whose 14 receiving touchdowns broke a single-season UNLV record—stayed, saying leaving would be “betraying the team.” Turns out the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Davis will have a chance at a bowl, after the NCAA lifted its ban last month. Now, Davis could cement his legacy for another reason—leading the Rebels to consecutive bowl games for the first time in school history.
