Mash-Up

Girls, Girls, Girls

The Penthouse afterparty is at Pure on Friday, and Wicked Pictures spreads the good word on Saturday for the AVN post-party. Keeping to the cinematic theme, Olympic Garden throws a movie-release party for Joanna Angel's Porny Monster on Friday. Seamless proclaims itself the "AVN Headquarters" throughout the weekend, while Sheri's Cabaret touts itself as the "Party Headquarters of AVN." The horny weekend is also underlined by the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, through January 13, at the Sands Expo Center.

Putting a Spin on It

The West gets wild at this month at the Roadrunner Saloon, 215 and Eastern, as flair bartenders from across the state square off every Monday for $7,000 worth of cash and prizes, as well as bragging rights as to who is the best bottle magician of them all. The Sixth Annual Best in the West Bartender Showdown raises the bar on juggling, spinning and spilling, as the libatious athletes vie for the top spot in the finals, which culminate on January 29. All competitions begin at 9 p.m.

Tuesday Turns Two

Okay, maybe Tuesday is a little older than 2, but we really didn't start paying attention to the formerly bland weekday until Pure started throwing its weekly party for locals. Pure Tuesday celebrates its two-year anniversary January 16, and the gala will include DJ AM along with guest MC Fatman Scoop. Happy birthday, Tuesday.

Pure is not the only club to hit a major milestone this week. On the heels of Seamless Afterhours turning 1 on January 6, Tryst Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas will also fête one year of upscale revelry on Thursday, January 11.
