Nightlife

Beyond the Rope

Ranna Emamjomeh, Supahstar

Hometown: San Diego, California Age: 27 Profession: Cocktail server, Poetry

Profile: Arriving in Vegas a little over a year and a half ago “on a whim,” and waltzing into a sweet cocktailing gig at the now-closed OPM nightclub, Ranna is living the charmed Vegas life and says she’s very excited to get back to work when Poetry, OPM’s new incarnation, opens on October 5. She is most looking forward to hearing the expanded music program. Why I Do What I Do: “I love the nightlife industry, everything about it. The money’s good, the schedule is flexible, the management is excellent ... I love going to work! This job never gets boring.” Personal Tidbit: Ranna needs that flexibility in her schedule to take private acting classes. She hopes one day to host her own show, like Brooke Burke on E! Though Ranna is assembling her demo reel for the networks, in the event that the silver screen does not come calling, she plans to put her University of Louisville sports medicine degree to good use.  Movie most recently seen: The Secret Latest Accomplishment: Thanks to The Secret, she says, Ranna recently adopted a more positive outlook on life, giving thanks for her health and family (and her cat!) rather than focusing on negative energy. Quote: “Life is not measured by how many breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.” –Anonymous
