As the house lights came on, many found the person they were talking to suddenly less interesting and fled to find their friends. Those who were confidently dancing in the darkness tried to keep their cool; VIP table customers looked at their still-full $400-plus bottles and grimaced; the DJ scrambled to keep people in party mode by telling them to put their hands in the air. Meanwhile, those opportunists in the room used the situation to scout out an open spot at the bar before everyone else realized it was just another false alarm.
