Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin choreographed Matt Goss’ live show at the Palms before making the introduction between Goss and Caesars Palace, a deal that has resulted in the fulfillment of Goss’ principle dream: to perform on the Las Vegas Strip at Caesars Palace. Antin continues to manage the Brit crooner as he makes his move to Caesars with 10 p.m. performances Friday and Saturday nights at Cleopatra’s Barge beginning March 12.

Xania Woodman: How did you meet and begin working with Matt Goss?

Robin Antin: Matt and I met three years ago living in L.A. Going to lots of events, we always ran into each other. I knew he was an amazing singer/songwriter, and after going down to the recording studio several times to hear and watch him record, I knew he was a star and was ready to do whatever it took to make sure the world would know that too!

XW: What first attracted you to him as a performer?

RA: Matt has the kind of voice that is a true gift, after all, overseas he is known as "The Voice." When seeing him record in his studio, he was literally performing as he was recording; it was all from the heart, so real, so beautiful...

We then self-financed his music video "Evil" and it was then that I knew. I was just stunned every time I would watch him, take after take. He's just so engaging and I knew that the world would feel the same.

XW: Caesars Palace president Gary Selesner said that it was you who introduced him to Matt. What makes Matt such a great fit for Caesars Palace?

RA: Matt has that Rat Pack, old school vibe that takes us back to a time when women would dress up in beautiful dresses and pearls, and men would always wear suits, just like Matt does in his everyday life. This is real for Matt, it’s who he really is. But this is 2010. Matt is of course inspired by all of that, but he's so unique. He has something that reminds us of that time, but he brings something so new and fresh, sexy, powerful… everything that I am all about.

Matt and I are partners because we think the same, we have the same sensibility, same style, are always on the same page creatively. Having a partnership with Gary, with Caesars, with the Pussycat Dolls Casino, I knew that Gary would love him, and I was right! He's perfect for Caesars!

XW: And what about Caesars Palace is a great fit for Matt?

RA: … Caesars will bring the world to Matt. When walking through Caesars Palace, you literally see people from all over the world, it’s amazing. It’s like touring around the world, but staying in one place. Caesars is my family with the Pussycat Dolls Casino and now Matt and I are so incredibly proud to be a part of the Caesars family again.

XW: How does the show need to be updated to work in the new Gossy Room at Cleopatra’s Barge?

RA: Of course I will have to re-stage the show, tweak costumes, add new choreography. Matt will do some new music arrangements, add some new songs, etc. But overall, this is still a new show, it’s pretty flawless, so I don't want to fix what is not broken. We love this show. It deserves a longer life, with of course some great additions!
