St. Patrick’s Day 2012: Las Vegas party guide!

This St. Patrick’s Day in Las Vegas will be full of entertainment options, including exciting concerts, parades and lots and lots of green beer. O’Sheas will be hosting its final block party before it closes its doors later this spring, so consider adding that to your party itinerary along with any of these other fun options.

Eddie Spaghetti: Eddie Spaghetti performs a Thin Lizzy set along with John Zito and Stoney Curtis. Enjoy corned beef and cabbage, Jameson girls, giveaways, $3 Jameson shots, Joseph James green lager, Russian Imperial Stout and $5 Russian Car Bombs (Irish Car Bombs with Russian Imperial Stout).

St. Pat's drink specials: Get the St. Paddy’s Day party started with drink specials, including $5 PBR and Moonshine shots, $3 Guinness Draught, $3 3-point shots and $3 green beer at all Silverton bars including the Mermaid Lounge, Flare Bar and Shady Grove Bar & Lounge. Silverton Rewards Club members get to drink their favorite domestic beer, well cocktails and house wine for free from 5 to 7 p.m.

Rock the Shamrock Whiskey Tasting: Who doesn’t love an excuse to drink whiskey? On Saturday, M Resort pours 70 of them at this craft whiskey tasting with live entertainment, special cocktails and holiday-inspired snacks. Be prepared to dedicate your Sunday to nursing one very worthwhile hangover.

Lavo Party Brunch: St. Paddy’s Edition: Start your St. Patrick’s Day on a drunken note with the club’s debaucherous champagne brunch. This week, Lavo will be pouring Guinness on tap, serving Bushmills Irish Honey cocktail specials and handing out $1,000 in cash and prizes to lucky guests, Irish or not. Go ahead, start the holiday early.

Green Eggs and Ham: Make Dr. Seuss proud and start your St. Patrick's Day at Rhumbar’s all-day St. Patrick’s celebration with green eggs and ham breakfast burritos, $5 Guinness, $6 Irish Car Bombs and other drink deals.

Feeling lucky? Grab a shamrock and head to any of the numerous bashes happening around town.

St. Patrick’s Festival: St. Paddy’s Day might come just once a year, but Mandalay Bay is making the most of it with a three-day, beer-and-music-fueled festival that would make Patrick himself proud. Moorea Beach Club hosts an all-you-can-drink beer garden March 15-17, while bands take over the Beach noon-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and play Mizuya Lounge well into the night. As if that’s not enough, Rí Rá Irish Pub celebrates its one-year anniversary starting at noon on Saturday.

Parade and Celtic Feis: New York-New York Hotel & Casino will spread the luck of the Irish this St. Patrick’s Day by lighting the Chrysler building green from March 16-18. On St. Patrick’s Day, New York-New York will spread cheer with a bag pipers parade led by New York-New York Hotel & Casino’s Employee of the Year, other hotel executives, Desert Sky Pipe Band and firefighters from around the country.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all weekend inside Nine Fine Irishmen and on the Brooklyn Bridge with the Celtic Feis, a traditional Gaelic arts and cultural festival, featuring three days of authentic Irish entertainment, traditional food and drinks. Law enforcement officials, firefighters, military personnel, veterans and EMTs will receive complimentary admission with their IDs or badges, as well as anyone in a kilt.

Sons of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival: The City of Henderson hosts the 46th annual Southern Nevada Sons of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival Thursday through Sunday at the Henderson Events Plaza. The celebration will feature a parade, carnival, car show, concerts, demonstrations and more. Admission is complimentary, though some activities may require paid admission. The parade will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. This year’s honorary grand marshal is Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen.

St. Patrick's Day block party: Las Vegas Weekly and Jameson Irish Whiskey present the St. Patrick's Day block party at Hennessey's Tavern at the corner of Fremont St. and Las Vegas Blvd. in Downtown Las Vegas. Enjoy drink specials and music from Arms of America U2 tribute band, Darby O'Gill and the Little People, Crown Avenue and The Sheleighly's.

St. Paddy's Day @ GBDC: If daytime drinking isn't usually your scene, you might make an exception for St. Patrick's Day. Ghostbar Dayclub hosts a St. Paddy's Day Bash with $5 beers and $7 green champagne, plus music from Zen Freeman and Mark Stylz. As always, costumes and piñata smashing are encouraged.

Dublin Down Festival: The Thomas & Mack presents the first ever Dublin Down Festival featuring Celtic punk rock band Flogging Molly in a celebration of Irish heritage and rock-n-roll. The festival will kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend on Friday, March 16 with the festivities beginning at 3 p.m. and the concert at 6:45 p.m. Flogging Molly brings along traditional Celtic instruments like violin, mandolin and the accordion to blend with their unique punk sound. Other special guests include Suedehead and Sean Wheeler & Zander Schloss.

The Young Dubliners: Celtic rockers The Young Dubliners celebrate St. Patrick’s Day eve with a unique performance inside Body English, the shuttered club inside the Hard Rock that only opens for special occasions. During its nearly quarter-century together, the band has become known for hits like “Rocky Road to Dublin” and “Last House on the Street.”

The Wild Celts: Las Vegas-based Irish rock band Wild Celts will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a free show and special contests at the Suncoast Showroom. The “Rock Your Kilt” contest and the “Leprechaun Star Search” will feature cash prizes of $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place.

St. Patrick’s Day drink specials: In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Cabo Wabo will serve green beer and green margaritas. Enjoy 100-ounce green beer towers to share for $55.

Drink specials on St. Patrick's Day: PBR Rock Bar and Grill offers drink specials on green beer, green margaritas and green daiquiris. Drink selections will be offered in 80-ounce green guitars and 100-ounce super yards for $38 each. Happy hour specials will be offered from 3 to 6 p.m. including 2-for-1 well drinks, $3 domestic drafts and $5 Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey shots and Jäger Bombs.

Four-day St. Patrick's celebration: Enjoy four days of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations at J.C. Wooloughan’s Irish Pub at JW Marriott. On March 14, enjoy happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m. with $5 specials on Irish appetizers, half-off Irish draft beer and live music from Celtic Rockers at 7 p.m. On March 15, enjoy the same specials, plus live music from Arms of America, the renowned U2 tribute band at 8 p.m. On March 16, Nick Mattera performs at 4 p.m. followed by Okay Jim at 9 p.m., along with happy hour specials from 3-7 p.m. On St. Patrick’s Day, the pub opens at 10 a.m. Guests can enjoy live music from Finnegan’s Wake at 12 p.m. on the patio; Nick Matera at 2 p.m. inside the pub; Celtic Rockers at 4 p.m. on the patio; Arms of America at 9 p.m. on the patio and Okay Jim at 9 p.m. in the pub. There is a $20 cover for full access to all venues involved in the celebration.

Three Square fundraiser: This March, P.J. Clarke’s at the Forum Shops celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with their second annual St. Patrick’s Day Bash. On March 17, the restaurant will throw a celebratory bash with Irish food specials including corned beef sandwiches ($15.20) and corned beef and cabbage ($18.84). From March 1-March 17 there will be a pair Vespa scooters parked outside of the restaurant. During this time, guests can purchase St. Patrick’s Day/P.J. Clarke’s branded t-shirts and become eligible to enter into a raffle to win the scooters. Proceeds from the sale of all raffle tickets will benefit Three Square, Southern Nevada’s only food bank. Twice as nice, P.J. Clarke’s will match the donation.

Rí Rá's anniversary party: Rí Rá Las Vegas celebrates its one-year anniversary with a two-day St. Patrick’s Day festival March 16 and 17. The weekend festivities will feature live music, giveaways, Irish dancers, authentic Irish menu items and a parade through Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. On Saturday, guest can watch the Six Nations Rugby match between Ireland and England at 10 a.m., followed by a parade through the casino at 11 a.m. featuring Irish dancers, Rí Rá staff members, a bagpiper and more.

Rockhouse's St. Pat's drink specials: Rockhouse Bar & Nightclub will host a St. Patrick’s Day celebration featuring green frozen piña coladas, $5 green draft beers, $5 Irish car bombs, $20 64-ounce super beers, $35 80-ounce guitar beers and 100-ounce Super Yards for $38. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bud Light lovers can get in the spirit with two-for-one commemorative green bottles.

Jameson specials: Crazy Horse III celebrates everyone’s favorite drinking holiday with shots of Jameson for $5 before midnight.

The Half Pint Brawlers: St. Patrick's Day at Coconuts offers an appearance by The Half Pint Brawlers, the top midget wrestling company in the country. The Pabst girls will be doling out $4 Stillhouse Moonshine shooters and other drink specials include $7 PBR pitchers, $4 PBR pints and $6 Stillhouse Moonshine shots with a beer.

St. Patrick’s Day party: The Chateau Terrace at Paris Las Vegas will host an all-day St. Patrick’s Day party starting at 9 a.m. featuring pitchers of green beer.

St. Patrick's dining specials: Sugar Factory American Brasserie inside Paris offers up a special St. Patrick’s Day menu featuring corned beef and cabbage on toasted marbled rye bread and a savory Guinness Braised Irish Beef Stew, served with mashers and cabbage. For dessert, enjoy green velvet fondue for two.

Food and drink specials: LBS will feature a mouthwatering corned beef and cabbage burger made with shaved corned beef, Swiss cheese, braised green cabbage and Russian dressing served on a marble rye bun with a side of savory French fries for $12.50. Drink specials include pints of green beer, Irish car bombs and shots of Jameson, priced at $5 each.

Drink and food specials: St. Patrick’s Day is a beer drinker’s holiday, and Public House offers $5 pints of green domestic beer, Irish car bombs and shots of Jameson, plus Irish-inspired dishes including the shepherd’s pie pierogies and a delectable Irish coffee cheesecake.

Dennis Rodman: Join celebrity athlete Dennis Rodman as he celebrates St. Patrick’s Day at Tabú Ultra Lounge inside MGM Grand complete with Irish-themed cocktails.

St. Patrick's Day celebration: Bar + Bistro offers an Irish Medley tapas plate featuring bangers and mash, fish and chips and corned beef and cabbage boxty. Drink specials include Black & Tans for $6. Enjoy an Irish Tricolor whiskey tasting of Jameson, Michael Collins and Knappogue for $16.

Concerts and beer pong tournament: Green Valley Ranch offers drink specials at Ovation, Lobby Bar and Quinn’s Irish Pub, including $3 green beer and $4 Jäger shots and Jameson. The Lobby Bar offers special Irish-themed food items including Guinness battered onion rings and corned beef and cabbage. At Quinn’s Irish Pub, Darby O’Gill and the Little People perform from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. At Ovation, Rattle & Hum performs at 11 p.m. Compete in the St. Paddy’s Day beer pong tournament for $25 entry per team with beer included. The first prize is a Jameson mountain bike; second prize is a Jameson snowboard third prize is a table and bottle service for a future show at Ovation.

O’Sheas final St. Pat's block party: Dubbed “the luckiest place on earth,” O’Sheas Casino will take over the street for its final St. Patrick’s Day celebration led by Lucky the Leprechaun. Before the casino closes its doors soon, guests can enjoy food and drink specials and entertainment provided by bands, including Saves the Day and Manchester Orchestra. Drink specials include $5 16-ounce drafts of Miller Lite and Coors Light, $6 16-ounce Guinness draft, $6 aluminum 16-ounce Miller Lite and Coors Light, $6.50 Heineken Aluminum, $6 Jäger shots, $6 Baileys, $7 Jameson and $8 cocktails.

St. Patrick's Day hangover brunch: If you’re feeling the repercussions of too much celebrating on St. Patrick’s Day, chef Kerry Simon has designed a festive menu at Simon Restaurant & Lounge to cure your hangover the day after everyone’s favorite Irish holiday. Brunch is served from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and features special items like green eggs and ham, corned beef hash and poached egg, Lucky Charms treats, shamrock sushi rolls and green apple cotton candy.
