From festive parades to extravagant Irish-themed parties along the Strip, St. Patrick’s Day is one of Vegas’ most booze-soaked holidays. So go ahead, indulge in every shamrock cocktail and green beer you can get your hands on. Maybe the luck of the Irish will help you beat that hangover.

Celtic Feis at New York-New York The Irish festival kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony as New York-New York unveils its new, outdoor Strip-front plaza with Irish appetizers from Nine Fine Irishmen, cocktails and live entertainment. The fest culminates in a parade throughout the casino on March 17 and will feature drink specials and live bands playing at Nine Fine Irishmen and on the Brooklyn Bridge throughout the weekend. St. Patty’s Day Block Party at O’Sheas The legendary and recently renovated O’Sheas brings back its famed block party this year for a weekend-long celebration that kicks off Saturday. Get ready for live music, stilt walkers, balloon artists and leprechauns—plus green beer ($3 drafts) and giveaways. March 15-17. The Quad, (800) 351-7400.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Firefighter Fun Challenge As the St. Patrick’s Day Parade makes its way Downtown, stop by Vegas biker bar Hogs & Heifers for its inaugural firefighter fun challenge. Thirty-two teams will compete in a wheelbarrow race, tricycle race, tug-o-war and more, plus, the event will feature a fire safety learning station for kids. March 17, noon. The D’s Annual St. Paddy’s Day Bash The D hosts a St. Patrick’s Day bash with drink specials including $5 Irish car bombs, $4 green beers and $3 shots of Jameson Irish Whiskey, and you get the chance to plant one on the legendary Blarney Stone. Partake in the age-old Irish tradition of kissing the stone–a relic from the Blarney Castle in Ireland that has found a new home inside the D’s second-floor Vue Bar. March 17. The D, 388-2400.

Rí Rá The pub’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities will feature live music, giveaways, Irish dancers and authentic Irish menu items. Each day the party will kick off with live music starting at 5 p.m. on March 15 and 16 and at noon on March 17. March 15-17. Mandalay Place, 632-7771.

St. Patrick’s Day Blowout Party at J.C. Wooloughans The Irish pub’s holiday celebration has you covered with food and drink specials, live entertainment and beer pong—plus performances by Holes and Hearts and Finnegan’s Wake. Hungry? Wooloughan’s traditional Irish menu features potato leek soup, corned beef, shepherd’s pie and more. Gain access to the pub party and courtyard by purchasing a $10 wristband, which includes a complimentary pint of green beer or shot of Jameson; guests who dine at the pub before 1 p.m. will receive a complimentary wristband. Everlast at Hakkasan MGM Grand’s premiere nightclub hosts a special DJ set and live performance from Irish rapper and former House of Pain member Everlast inside the Ling Ling Club. March 17, 10:30 p.m., $10-$20. MGM Grand, 891-3838.

Brendan’s Irish Pub Machine Gun Kelly’s and Killian’s Angels perform, and St. Patrick’s Day partiers can take advantage of $3 Jameson, Amsterdam Vodka and Camarena Tequila shots. March 17, music from 4 p.m. The Orleans, 365-7111.

Quinn’s Irish Pub Go green this St. Patrick’s day with $15 pitchers of green Bud Light, $5 Irish Car Bombs and $5 pints of Irish beer on draft (Kilkenny, Smithwicks, Harp and Guinness). Southern Nevada Sons & Daughters of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival Celebrate the luck of the Irish with the 48th annual Southern Nevada Sons & Daughters of Erin parade and festival. The shamrock and shenanigans-themed fest features a carnival, live entertainment, a car show and more, plus a parade on Water Street on Saturday at 10 a.m. March 13-March 16, times vary, free entry. McMullan’s Irish Pub The staple Irish drinkery is celebrating St. Patrick throughout the weekend with live performances, drink specials and plenty of festive fare.
