Just months ahead of its Labor Day Weekend debut, the new SLS resort has firmed up its nightlife scheme with plans for a new nightclub and rooftop pool called Life.

The new 20,000-square foot space follows quashed plans for the previously reported SLS nightclub, Shelter, a reboot of the popular Los Angeles nightclub of the same name run by SLS developers SBE.

SLS was initially reported to have as many as four nightlife spots, but is now set to host three, with Life joining intimate live music venue Sayers Club and the ultralounge-like Foxtail.

The announcement offered few details about Life, other than that it promises the Rose.Rabbit.Lie-esque ambiguity of “Nightlife in its purest form is rebellion…a rebellion against the social status quo through an unbridled celebration of sight, sound, scene and form,” according to SBE’s website.

The club's teaser video of party shots, strobe lights and Light-style acrobats hardly seems against the Vegas nightclub grain, and the ad itself—a fast-cut of buzzwords, sexy bass and fashion models—seems very reminiscent of the Cosmopolitan’s own cryptic-edgy marketing campaign. Still, SBE touts a strong nightlife track record, and we’re eager to see what the venue will actually have in store.
