Mighty Mi (real name: Milo Berger) is a prolific local producer—he’s also a resident at Surrender—and an apparent twerk enthusiast. His recent output is all about the bounce, from this summer’s “If U Touch It” (which he made with DJ Kontrol and Slugworth), to his recent rerub of Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be” (also with Slugworth). But he sounds particularly inspired on “Baby,” a 2007 song by Australian electronic pop act Pnau that he remixed back in July with fellow local DJ Scene. It’s the perfect blend of melodic house and rubbery trap—and indicative of the electronic/hip-hop symbiosis now reigning at Surrender.
