Aria’s Haze Nightclub to close in November

Sometimes Haze looks like this.

Haze will shutter November 1, following one final weekender that will include a surprise performer during the Aria nightclub’s industry night on October 30 and the closing party with Light exclusive DJ Carl Cox. UPDATE: The venue’s operator Light Group issued a statement on September 30, saying Haze would give way to a new concept for 2015, and further details would be forthcoming. The news was originally broken by Vegaschatter. Haze opened during the last week of 2009 and shortly after its host resort, which will end the year without a major nightclub.

Cox’s performance will bring Haze full circle, as the space first established itself as a new headliner DJ spot with icons like Tiesto, David Guetta and Kaskade. Though it would intermittently book other big-name dance DJs, it largely stuck to local talent, open format programming and celebrity appearances during the early days of the EDM explosion and throughout its not-quite-five-year run.
