Twerky time: Your pre-Thanksgiving party guide

Image
Get turnt at the Gold Spike Wednesday night.

Let’s be real: Thursday is gonna suck. Obligatory family time? Unfortunate food? Helping with the dishes? Not even napping and football can save us. Power through Thanksgiving by partying your giblets off the night before, a Vegas tradition if there ever was one. Here are a few spots worth your Wednesday night.

Pigs & Pints at Velveteen Rabbit The Downtown cocktail bar hosts a 100-pound pig roast courtesy of District One, brews from Crafthaus ($15 for a plate and a pint) plus music from DJ Selecta Scream. Turkey-shmurky. November 25, 7 p.m., no cover.

Royal Crawl at the Linq ‘Twas the night before turkey, and all along the Linq Promenade happy people were drinking and checking in at royalcrawl.com to win prizes, all while enjoying one of the Strip’s most convenient bar drags. November 25, 8 p.m., $30.

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving at Golden Tiki Eat weird snacks, drink free spiked punch (if you’re dressed like a Peanuts character) and absorb the transportive tiki vibes while you can; eventually, Thursday will come. November 25, 9 p.m., no cover.

TurntGiving at Gold Spike M!KEATTACK runs the Living Room, and Mahi plays live in the Backyard while the Spike serves up drink specials, giveaways and … turkey bowling? November 25, 10 p.m., no cover.

Dillon Francis.

Infamous Wednesday at Hyde Bellagio The mashup of party-ready tourists and industry-loving locals that almost always collides at Hyde should be at full force the night before Thanksgiving. DJ D Miles will keep the energy flowing. November 25, 10 p.m., no cover.

TwerksGiving at Surrender The weekly industry party at Encore is gonna get extra funky when Dillon Francis takes over and helps you work out that holiday stress. November 25, 10:30 p.m., $45+ men, $35+ women, free for locals.

Fukuburger, now open at 3429 S. Jones Blvd. Everybody’s favorite local food truck has finally opened a restaurant where it all started—Chinatown. Buttress yourself against the bland, dry poultry, pasty mashed potatoes and mushy green beans that await with a spicy Naga Dog, a Buta Burger and a couple orders of jazz fries. Open until 1 a.m.
