In “Beach is Better” from his 2013 album Magna Carta Holy Grail, Jay Z raps, “Started out at the Darby/Ended up at 1 OAK.” 1 OAK Las Vegas managing partner Eli Pacino thinks that mention means more than just a little attention for the club.
“It’s the perfect tagline for our industry night, because everyone who is out on the Strip looking for a good time on a Wednesday will end up at 1 OAK,” Pacino says. “We’ll have great talent and we’ll throw a great party. It’s going to be the premier destination on Wednesday nights.”
Ended Up At 1 OAK Wednesdays launches this week with a performance by singer Jason Derulo on March 2. Live performance has not been a frequent part of the Mirage nightclub’s programming as of late, but the new industry night event will change that; Mississippi hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd is lined up for March 9.
“We will have a diverse talent roster of special guest hosts as well as live performers mixed in with great offerings for industry locals,” Pacino says. “We are looking to change up Wednesday nights by offering our guests an experience they cannot get anywhere else.”
Not many Strip nightclubs host industry nights—or much else—on Wednesday nights, so Ended Up At 1 OAK will probably be much more than a Jay Z lyric very soon.
