Laying it on Thicke: Ditch Friday with Robin (and his eyebrows) at the Palms.

Sonidero at Beauty Bar Those looking to get a jump on Mexican Independence Day fiestas need to hit Downtown Thursday night for an El Grito edition of the enduring Sonidero party, where DJs St. JP and BadBeat show blatant and welcome disregard for genre consistency, blending Rock en Español and cumbia music with bilingual pop and indie. September 12, 10 p.m., free.

Adrian Lux at Surrender A trend we want to see grow: guitars in club anthems. Whatever six-stringed sounds we’re hearing in Adrian Lux’s recent summer dancefloor fillers, “Damaged” and “Wild Child”—are those real guitars? Sampled guitars? Synthesizer-approximated guitars? Who cares?!—make us pine for more strum and bang. Let’s hope the versatile Swede has more where those came from for his Thursday DJ set. September 12, doors at 10:30 p.m., $32 men, $22 women.

Robin Thicke at Palms Pool The R&B artist takes the stage at Palms’ Ditch Friday bash, and you know summer smash “Blurred Lines” is making the set list. Here’s hoping Miley shows up for Twerkfest 2.0. This is Vegas, anything can happen, right? September 13, doors at noon, $75 men, $50 women.

Nas at Tao The hip-hop artist turns the big 4-0 Saturday night and will preside over Tao’s Vice Saturdays bash to celebrate. We may see him on the club-hosting circuit more frequently, as he’s opening his 12AM Run sneaker boutique at Caesars’ Linq, due early next year. September 14, doors at 10 p.m., $40 men, $20 women, local ladies free.

Oktoberfest kickoff at Hofbräuhaus Can’t make the real thing in Munich? Hit Vegas’ only German beer hall for the local version of Deutschland’s 16-day bender. Some will attend just to stare at Siegfried & Roy, but the rest of us will come for the high-ABV Oktoberfestbier. O’zapft is! September 14, 7 p.m., free.

Digitalism and Destructo at Body English What a double feature: The electro-licious German duo Digitalism will bestow upon us a DJ set filled with new material, followed by veteran disco-skronk DJ Destructo—aka Hard Events founder Gary Richards—whose “Higher” (and its “White Lines” sample) was a standout track during Skrillex’s recent Light performance. Wait, it gets better: Locals who RSVP at the event’s Facebook page get free admission. September 14, doors at 10 p.m., $30 men, $20 women.

Mayweather vs. Canelo Viewing Party at Hyde Undefeated world champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. faces also-undefeated Canelo Alvarez Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Didn’t score a ticket to the fight? Cheer on the Las Vegan (or not) at the Bellagio nightspot with icy beers and bar bites courtesy of Circo. September 14, 5 p.m., $110.

Panic City at Lavo The San Francisco-based, SKAM Artist-affiliated producer/DJ is one prolific remixer, putting artists from Lana Del Rey and Dillon Francis to Kaskade through his EDM filter. Give a young, rising talent a chance. September 17, 11 p.m., $20 men, $10 women, locals free.
