Nightlife News & Notes: Chateau Terrace keeps it casual, and more

Image
Sometimes you want to party in swank surroundings while wearing flip flops. Chateau Terrace is there for you.

Sometimes you want to spend a night out on the Strip in flip-flops and ironic casual-wear. Sometimes you want to party in swank surroundings without having to fight off skinny tourists in heels. Sometimes you just want a view of the Bellagio fountains, and a delicious cocktail, and an inexpensive cover charge, and … really, is that asking too much? Not anymore. The folks behind Chateau Nightclub & Gardens have heard our collarless cries. Chateau Terrace—the open-air bar and balcony at Paris Las Vegas—is now a Thursday-to-Saturday-night haven for the anti-dress code clan. Wear what you like, pay $10 at the door and get a free drink for stopping by every weekend starting at 10:30 p.m.

iPhonetographers, get to clickin’. Marquee is giving away a Columbus Day Weekend party package—complete with two-night Cosmo stay and bottle service during Alesso on October 5 and the Marquee Dayclub closing with Dirty South on October 7—for the Instagram artist who best captures Las Vegas as the “city of dreams.” (Is it? For the sake of the contest, let’s just say yes.) Want to win? Take a badass shot; upload it with the hashtag #MarqueeCityOfDreams, and encourage your friends to give it the proper online love. The image with the most likes by October 1 wins.

If you prefer shmancy beer with a side of living room couch, Venetian gastrobar Public House is making it a little easier to get the good stuff at home. The pub is now offering half-gallon growlers, emblazoned with the joint’s insignia, that cost $8 empty and $22-$52 to fill, depending on which suds you’d like inside. I recommend Big Dog’s Tyrone! My Man! black IPA, because it’s local and, like the word grrrrrowler, pretty fun to say out loud.
