Tao ... brunch? When Tao Beach comes back for the season—mark your calendar for May 4—it’s bringing with it something tasty. Tao’s getting into the Sunday brunching tradition with a menu of Asian-inspired fare, including Fortune Waffles, Kobe steak and eggs and kung pao chicken wings that will be served poolside all day on Sundays. And if you prefer your party brunch topless (hey, we’ve all considered it), Bare Brunch kicks off May 5. The menu includes breakfast burritos, a yogurt and granola parfait, and a Bloody Mary open bar.

Ladies: Encore Beach Club thinks its BCBG swimsuit raffle will get you in the door, but we know you’re really coming for the ping pong and water volleyball. The Encore dayclub is bringing back Recess Fridays for 2013, with 100 of those swimsuits up for grabs May 3 and Fedde Le Grand spinning the weekday soundtrack. Norman Doray takes over the decks May 10.

Marquee Nightclub and Dayclub are stepping up their Memorial Day Weekend game with a four-day bash called United We Stay. Kaskade, Armin van Buuren and Benny Benassi are just a few of the highlights playing this year. The fun kicks off on May 24.

Vanilla Ice took over LAX on Saturday, playing hits like “Play That Funky Music” and “Ice Ice Baby” with a bizarre “hype clown” spritzing fans with seltzer water. The rapper wasn’t shy about keeping things nostalgic, with shout-outs to the “Ninja Turtle generation” and promises to “kick it old-school.” Later at his VIP table, Ice welcomed some Ultimate Fighter cast members and mixed martial artists, including Luke Barnatt, Josh Samman and Cat Zingano, fresh from her knockout fight earlier in the night.
