Yet again, Electric Daisy Carnival is on the grow. Festival producers Insomniac announced EDC Mexico last week, which debuts in Mexico City March 15 and 16, 2014. This is the second international location following EDC London in July.

XS went viral with its recently released, 360-degree interactive video taped during Kaskade’s Halloween night set. The filming used state-of-the-art recording and playback technology to allow viewers to jump around to various parts of the venue (DJ booth included). Check it out at wynnsocial.com.

Speaking of Wynn nightlife, more than 200 staffers from XS and Tryst donated $190,698 in toys to KLUC Morning Zoo’s toy drive, benefiting HELP of Southern Nevada, even buying out all 250 bikes at one local Wal-Mart. Meanwhile, close to 100 employees from MGM Grand’s Hakkasan worked with Three Square Food bank last week to pack nearly 12,000 meals for children and seniors. Hakkasan will also donate $5 to the organization for every restaurant patron served in December.

It’s already time to start thinking about pool parties, especially if you’re looking for a job at one. Encore Beach Club announced that it begins casting for cocktail servers, bartenders, security and more January 21 and 22 at Encore Theater.

Finally, a quick correction to last week’s “News & Notes.” The Bank will be open December 19-22, so if you need a place to party through the week, consider yourself invited.
