This weekend will be your last chance to visit Ghostbar before the 55th-story nightclub at the Palms closes for renovations until mid-August. Klai Juba Architects have been tapped to give Ghostbar a new look described as a “feminine feel and an exquisite color scheme of white, black and fuchsia.” Expect chandeliers, “intimate” booths and a “lavish” fireplace when the club re-opens.

Perhaps it was biding its time until summer, but Bagatelle Beach is back in the spotlight. The pool-, supper- and nightclub at Tropicana is stepping it up with a few new parties this season, which kick off this weekend. First, Viernes Vagos brings a little Latin flavor on Fridays during the day, with hand-crafted cocktails and DJs from La Kalle FM. On Friday nights, Poplife turns the dial up to 11 with some 1980s-style goodness, including music videos on the club’s big screen—“Take On Me,” anyone? Finally, Boots & Bikinis is the Strip’s first country-themed daylife party, complete with poolside mechanical bull-riding.

Brothers Maksim and Val Chmerkovskiy of Dancing with the Stars showered poolside at Liquid Pool Lounge last Thursday to promote Olay body wash, and just couldn’t resist lathering in front of fans. They say it was a product demonstration, but we know the buff bros just wanted to show off.

After his Friday concert at Cosmo, Vegas-raised R&B singer Ne-Yo partied at Marquee with a large group of friends and took photos with fans into the morning hours. At Hakkasan, British recording artist and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole was presented with a three-tier cake Saturday night in celebration of her 30th birthday.

Finally, the bikini battle might be over, but the bikini war has just begun. Real Housewives of Miami fixture Joanna Krupa made a stop at Rehab Sunday afternoon to host the Rehab Bikini Invitational, where the already blistering heat seemed just a notch or two hotter. Krupa announced the top 10 winners, who’ll be moving on to the final competition on July 28, along with winners from the upcoming July 7, 14 and 21 competitions. It’s not just about bragging rights for these ladies—the overall winner nets $25,000 in cash, a modeling agency rep and paid fees for the Miss USA State Pageant. Keeping things within the world of reality TV, Jersey Shore’s JWoww hosts this weekend.
