So it turns out that when Aussie model/actress Ruby Rose visited Encore Beach Club during EDC weekend—and snapped some selfies with Justin Bieber, of course—it was actually a scouting trip. Rose, also known from Orange Is the New Black, will DJ at Surrender on August 19, at XS August 23 and at Tryst September 5.

Hyde Bellagio has announced its first official artist-resident. Travis Barker, “punk’s first superstar drummer,” according to Rolling Stone, will be drumming and DJing at the lounge-club beginning on August 18.

Speaking of Hyde, it’ll host the 12th annual Adam & Eve Charity Love Fling to benefit New Vista on July 24 at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to bid on date packages with local celebrities and eligible bachelors and bachelorettes including Anthony Cools, Ricardo Laguna, Miss Nevada USA Lisa Song Sutton and more. Live music, food and signature cocktails from Azzurre Spirits are also on the menu. Tickets start at $25 and can be obtained at newvistanv.org.

Southern Highlands hangout Distill celebrates its first anniversary July 25 at 7 p.m. with a Hawaiian-style party featuring a buffet, drink specials and music from local band Chrome.

Touring bass music fest Safe in Sound rolls through the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel on October 1, headlined this year by Bro Safari, Datsik and Zomboy. Get tickets at safeinsoundfest.com.

How badly do you want to live the superstar DJ life? Sapphire Pool & Day Club lets you run the party with its new 60 Minutes of Fame package. For $3,500, you’ll play an hour-long set at the Sapphire pool, you’ll get digital billboards with your face on them and social media promotion to hype up your show and you’ll rock a VIP bungalow with your entourage and a $2,500 food and drink credit. The club will even throw in five bottles of bubbly for you to spray on your adoring fans. –Brock Radke

The After crew is back from hiatus and will throw its next underground party at Backstage Bar & Billiards on August 1 with headliner D-Unity. Residents Spacebyrdz, Justin Baulé and Brett Rubin will also be on board for support, with KC Ray on video jockey duties.

“We’ve been on hiatus for a while because we’re working on opening our own club, which we’re getting really close to right now,” says After’s managing partner Thom Svast. “This is to keep things in motion to keep a taste in everyone’s mouth because we haven’t had a good techno show in this city in a while. We really like Backstage because you walk in and it feels like a warehouse. We’re bringing in some extra lighting and sound for the show… And their drinks are so cheap there!” The party is scheduled to go Saturday night from midnight (technically Sunday) until 8 a.m. Presale tickets will be $10 or $20 at the door.
