Nightlife News & Notes: Safe in Sound Festival is returning, Tryst is closing and more

Image
Expect Tryst to close after Halloween.

Tryst is closing. Originally opened as La Bete in 2005, the club was quickly refashioned into Tryst by Victor Drai and set the tone for the Wynn-Encore club dynasty of today with XS, Surrender and Encore Beach Club. Expect the club to close after Halloween with a new concept forthcoming.

Fans voted to give Steve Aoki the title of America’s Best DJ in a DJ Times poll conducted online and at several festival events across the country. Aoki is preparing to release his two recent albums as the deluxe package Neon Future Odyssey on October 2.

The world’s largest traveling bass-music show returns to Las Vegas on October 1. The Safe in Sound Festival takes over the Joint with headlining acts Bro Safari, Datsik, Zomboy, Dirty Phonics, Terravita and more.
