Nevadans kick ass in 140-character bursts. Research released by public relations firm Digital America last week ranked Nevada No. 1 in Twitter participation, with 1.74 percent of its 2.7 million residents on the site. Consider it proof the state can lead the country in something other than foreclosures and the unemployment rate. Come celebrate—and meet a handful of Nevada’s 47,000 “tweeps”—at the third annual Twestival, being held March 24 at Caramel inside the Bellagio. The “tweetup” will raise money for local charity AFAN (Aids for AIDS of Nevada) and help social networkers put faces to all those @usernames. It’s #fun, slightly #dorky and the can’t-miss event for #socialmedia addicts in #Vegas.
