Margaret Cho makes her debut in Mirage’s Aces of Comedy series Thursday night.


Margaret Cho The saucy, acclaimed comedian brings her Mother stand-up tour to the Mirage Thursday night. Cho considers the show her edgiest yet—expect a hilarious look at motherhood and observations on everything from drugs to sex and celebrity. September 6, 10 p.m., $50-$70.

Stealing Las Vegas Legendary B-movie producer Roger Corman teamed up with UNLV film professor Francisco Menendez (and a crew of UNLV students and alumni) for this heist thriller starring Eric Roberts. Available on DVD September 11.


Yoga Aid World Challenge A 24-hour international yoga marathon that “follows the sun” across the globe raising money for a variety of charities, Yoga Aid lands in Las Vegas Sunday morning with a drop-in class at Springs Preserve set to the tunes of a live DJ. September 9, 9 a.m., $25.


Ironman World Championship 70.3 If you had to swim 1.2 miles, bike 56 and then run a half-marathon, you’d appreciate a cheering section. Hit the swim start at the Westin, the bike leg on Northshore Road near Lake Mead and the finish line at the Henderson Pavilion to support some of the world’s fittest folks. September 9, 6:30 a.m. start, Westin Lake Las Vegas.


Flavors of the Heart The Strip’s favorite female chef, Carla Pellegrino, rallies friends from Mundo, Roy’s, Origin India, Greens & Proteins and other local restaurants for this tasty fundraiser for the American Heart Association. September 8, 7 p.m., $75, World Market Center, flavorsof-theheart.com.
