The Boys Club of comedy will soon have some stiff competition here in town, as today the Venetian revealed a new lineup of stand-ups without one Y chromosome to speak of.

The all-female series, branded Lipshtick – The Perfect Shade of Stand Up, was announced this morning at a press conference by comedienne and 2 Broke Girls co-creator Whitney Cummings, who headlines Lipshtick at the Sands Showroom on August 15 and 16.

The first female to take the Lipshtick mic will be television personality and talk show host Wendy Williams, who performs at the Strip property July 11. Other confirmed comediennes include former host of The View Joy Behar; Comedy’s Queen of Mean, Lisa Lampanelli; veteran Vegas act Rita Rudner; Chelsea Lately regulars Heather McDonald, Natasha Leggero and Jen Kirkman; Sabrina, the Teenage Witch actress Caroline Rhea; and Jennifer Coolidge, maybe best known as “Stifler’s mom” in the American Pie movie franchise. Venetian also said more comediennes will be added to the series at later dates.

All Lipshtick shows will be held on Fridays at 10 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., with some dates including a second Saturday set at 10 p.m. Tickets range from $37.50 to $96.25 and can be purchased by visiting or calling the Venetian Box Office, as well as online at lipshtick.com or venetian.com. The first three shows went on sale earlier today.

“Our success with comedic legends like Rita Rudner and Joan Rivers have proven that ‘girls rule’ when it comes to comedy,” said John Caparella, president and COO of Venetian, in a statement released today. “Further, we believe that female-driven comedy is now as popular as ever!”
