Despite last month’s announcement that the popular Spiegelworld production Absinthe would be moving from its tented home in front of Caesars Palace to the Rose. Rabbit. Lie. ballroom at the Cosmopolitan in November, the show must go on, apparently, at Caesars.

Absinthe co-producer and investor Base Entertainment won a Clark County District Court ruling this week regarding when the show’s lease ends at Caesars Palace. The current contract would keep Absinthe in place at Caesars until October 2018 unless Spiegelworld and Base settle their legal disputes.

A statement from the Cosmopolitan confirms: “At this time Absinthe will not be moving to the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.”

A spokesperson from Base Entertainment told the Review-Journal this week: “The show continues to exceed expectations and with support from our great partners at Caesars Entertainment we remain committed to keeping the show at Caesars Palace under our operation agreement into next year and beyond.”

Last month, Spiegelworld chief Ross Mollison told Las Vegas Weeklythat Caesars Entertainment will “always be part of the Absinthe family,” but also that he was thrilled to be returning to the Cosmopolitan, where he launched Vegas Nocturne in 2014.
