It’s really happening: Kiss, monsters and golf—oh my!

Remember the company that wanted to open a Kiss-and-monsters-themed indoor mini-golf course on the Strip? No? That’s okay—we, too, had almost forgotten about those plans, which the Weekly first reported about last June. But now there is a reason to remember!

Monster Mini Golf today announced that it has secured a Vegas location for its project, which will be the first golf course themed after the legendary rockers. It won’t be on the Strip, as company founder Christina Vitagliano originally hoped, but it’s close—the Shoppes at Harmon Square, located across the street from the similarly music-themed Hard Rock Hotel.

The indoor golf course will be glow-in-the-dark, feature monster props and house a gift shop full of Kiss and monster souvenirs. It will also, according to the press release, be full of “monster-sized swagger.”

A tentative opening date of early fall 2011 has been scheduled.
