2011 iHeartRadio Music Festival: J.Lo at Pure

Jennifer Lopez at Pure - from YouTube.com

Where does Jenny from the block party in Las Vegas after a performance? For actress, singer and fashion mogul Jennifer Lopez, it was Pure in Caesars Palace after taking part in Night 2 of the iHeartRadio Music Festival at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday night.

Hundreds of fans lined up outside Pure in the Caesars casino floor waiting for the superstar, newly split from singer Marc Anthony, to make her appearance. Lopez arrived after midnight with a large entourage that included family, friends, crew, longtime manager Benny Medina and Steve Bartels, Island Records president and Island Def Jam Music Group COO. Before entering the nightclub, J.Lo posed for photos on the red carpet in a cream dress with pink piping and matching pink heels.

After the red carpet, she was escorted to her VIP area on the Pure stage and stopped to greet fans and pose for photos along the way. Her VIP area was transformed to echo the cover of her new album Love?, with gems, glittering fabrics and arrangements of white lilies, her favorite flower. J.Lo made a champagne toast and danced alongside her backup dancers.

Later in the evening, J.Lo was surprised as Bartels stopped the party and got on the mic to congratulate her with a presentation for her first single on Love?, “On the Floor,” having been certified with more than 3 million downloads, making it one of the bestselling singles this year. Thrilled, J.Lo, who was ravishing in red at iHeartMusic, made her way to the front of the stage to dance to and sing “On the Floor” while waving, greeting and blowing kisses to thousands of her fans.

J.Lo and her group partied and danced until the wee hours of the morning. Thanks to Kevin Mazur for his photo gallery and to Christopher Rauschnot @24kMedia on Twitter for his video posted on YouTube.

Previous Discussion:

  • As the singer approaches 50, his vocals remain a high point, his mix of throaty growls and raspy screams sounding near-perfect.

  • He’s done acid in Las Vegas, which he calls “a bad life decision.”

  • "There’s no way we could cover everything we have. It would have to be a three-and-a-half-hour show."
