Slayer and Korn announce shows at Hard Rock Hotel and Palms

Black Sabbath at MGM Grand

On the heels of Sunday night’s Black Sabbath concert at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas is getting another dose of heavy metal with local concert announcements from Slayer and Korn.

The former will bring its first North American tour in two years to the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday, Oct. 25. Gojira and 4ARM will open. Tickets start at $39.50 and go on sale Fridayat 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster and the Hard Rock box office.

Nineties hard rockers Korn will wrap up its fall tour with a show at Pearl at the Palms on Saturday, Oct. 12. Asking Alexandria and Love And Death will open. Korn’s 11th studio album, The Paradigm Shift, is set for release Oct. 8. Tickets start at $49 and go on sale Monday at noon via Ticketmaster and the Pearl box office.

The two shows are the latest addition to a bulked-up slate of heavy metal and hard rock acts in town recently, including an upcoming dual headlining set from Iron Maiden and Megadeth at Mandalay Bay Events Center on Sept. 12, as well as the return of Motley Crue’s residency at the Joint beginning Sept. 18.
