The numbers have been crunched, and the results are in: Las Vegas nightclub staple Kaskade has been voted America’s Best DJ for 2013 in a fan poll held by DJ Times magazine, defeating last year’s winner Markus Schulz, who didn’t even make the Top 10 in this round of voting. DJs Diplo and Skrillex took second and third place, respectively.

Fans voted online and in person at more than 20 club and festival events participating in the America’s Best DJ Summer Tour, which included the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Detroit’s Movement Festival and Denver’s Global Dance Festival.

2011 America's Best DJ: Kaskade at Marquee

Kaskade was first voted America’s Best DJ in 2011, marking the first time a DJ has won the title twice in the eight-year history of the award. An award ceremony and closing party for ABDJ Summer Tour will be held at Marquee in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on October 13.

Kaskade is having a pretty good month. Having closed out his wildly successful “Summer Lovin’” residency at Marquee over Labor Day Weekend, the Grammy Award nominee landed another residency last week, this time at XS, that kicks off next month. His new album, Atmosphere, was released on Tuesday.

“Words can’t do justice to how completely grateful I am to receive this honor for a second time,” Kaskade, nee Ryan Raddon, said in a statement. “I am constantly in awe of the love, encouragement and energy I receive from my fan base, which has continued to inspire and motivate me throughout my career. I feel connected to them in such a real way, and their support is something that keeps rocking my world. I couldn’t do this without them.”
