The new lineup at Zappos Theater appears to be set. The room that has hosted residencies from Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Lionel Richie has added new dates with returning star Pitbull, new residencies from Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera and now British rockers Def Leppard, a group that will be inducted into the Rock & Hall of Fame on March 29 before Def Leppard Hits Vegas: The Sin City Residency opens on August 14.

With more than 100 million albums sold worldwide including two of the best-selling rock records of all time in Pyromania and Hysteria, Def Leppard (Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage, Vivian Campbell and Rick Allen) played its first Las Vegas residency five years ago at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, a pioneering effort for a rock band.

“I have to say, we really enjoyed it,” said Elliott in a statement. “Being in one place for the best part of a month is vastly different to our normal city to city touring routine. Breaking this cycle adds another element to the experience for both us and the audience.”

Tickets for the new show at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater go on sale February 22. The 12 performances scheduled so far are August 14, 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 29 and 31 and September 1, 4, 6 and 7.

The Backstreet Boys are currently performing at Zappos Theater through February 23, wrapping up their Larger Than Life residency with nine dates in April.
