Update: Insomniac has officially announced Electric Daisy Carnival 2020 has been rescheduled to October 2-4 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with Camp EDC kicking things off October 1.

"You, the headliners, are the heart and soul of EDC. Without you Insomnia wouldn't exist. Thank you for being patient and supporting us while we've worked through this to make the best decision," founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella wrote on Instagram. "Nothing changes but the date. The team and I took every single factor into consideration ... most importantly, a date that would give us enough time for things to get back to normal so we can all come back stronger than ever."

APRIL 1 - Billboard has reported that Electric Daisy Carnival will move its 10th Las Vegas edition to October 2-4, and a source has confirmed to the Weekly that the event will indeed move to the fall.

The dance-music festival, which draws crowds in excess of 400,000 to Las Vegas Motor Speedway annually, was set for May 15-17, before concerns over the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus forced the cancellation of all large gatherings, including concerts and sporting events.

Promoter Insomniac is expected to make an official announcement, with details about ticket holders' options, within the next several days.

EDC Vegas 2020 sold out in under 48 hours, a new record for the event, according to organizers. This year's lineup was set to include Carl Cox, The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Richie Hawtin, Major Lazer, Tiësto, Paul Van Dyk, Zedd and some 200 others.

Insomniac had previously postponed Southern California's Beyond Wonderland, from March 20-21 to June 19-20.
