A president, a policy and a pizza place: Obama’s Vegas visit by the numbers

Following his State of the Union address last week, President Barack Obama set out on a five-state junket, including Nevada. Here are a few key numbers from his visit to the Silver State:


Number of pizzas Obama ordered for his entourage from local pizzeria Dom DeMarco’s. They also ordered 20 cannolis.


Percentage increase in business Dom DeMarco’s experienced following Obama’s order.


Number of hours Obama spent in Las Vegas, during which he stayed at the Element by Westin and discussed his energy policies at a UPS facility.


Number of politicians (Mayor Carolyn Goodman) who appeared at McCarran International Airport to greet Obama’s plane.


Number of Las Vegas politicians who poked a finger aggressively at Obama during his visit.
